It's true. ComedyBox too. I guess we don't have the hunger for internet comedy the yanks do.

I think my cousin worked on ComedyBox. Maybe it's because we have more comedy on TV in the UK, so we're not desperate to find it on the Net.

Perhaps a good time for the BCG to step in and offer a similar service? Just a silly thought.

There might be room for that.
We could call it Cotter or Notter?

I hear FOD is being scrapped at the end of the month. The UK version anyway. Not surprising really, it never did take off like the US version. A pity really, it was a great forum for people to upload their homespun stuff.

Seriously? That is a shame. It's been one of the best video sites created I think - they posted quite a high percentage of good videos on there I though.

Maybe one day we can actually do a video upload thingy... but definitely not for a while. When much bigger and better backed companies fail (if the above is true, FoD will be about the 5th axed site in as many years - as others say above) it suggest we perhaps shouldn't try ourselves yet. We couldn't afford the bandwidth bill at the moment anyway.

Zhara now moved to Scripped and there now charging to use the service. Oh, well.

Oh, so it has! I never could quite see how Zhura was being funded, so sadly I guess it was always one-day going to somehow end up charging/closing.

That said, it looks like your first script of Scripted.com remains free?

So another one bites the dust. Shame. Thought they'd produced some decent stuff. Although the 'community' side seemed a little lack lustre. 'Commercial' comedy sites seem to have shelf lives similar to football managers. 200,000 unique views a month and not making financial sense. Hmmmm.
