Anyone had any experience of pitching stuff to Funny or Die?
Is there a mechanism for that or is it just a case of write it, shoot it, upload it?
Thanks.

Well, you can certainly make and upload your own stuff, like on YouTube and wherever else, yeah. Though I think the site might help certain people produce their stuff, so perhaps you can approach them for help . . ?
This post was no help at all, was it?
No
but thanks

You either make it and upload it yourself, or go to http://www.zhura.com , register, post some sketches up in the Funny Or Die section, then James Serafinowicz chooses the best ones (usually one or two a month) and goes out and films them. One of mine was filmed a few months ago. http://www.funnyordie.co.uk/videos/b77211b350/no-gaydar-zhura-winner
The latest winner is the lovely James Harris, with this sketch http://www.funnyordie.co.uk/videos/d7d8160bd8/selling-out-zhura-winner
Or you could always contact James direct through Hat Trick and ask if you can bung some stuff over.
I was looking at Zhuru and couldn't make head nor tails of the agreement. I couldn't work out whether you're giving them the rights to anything you do on there or not.

No you still own the rights. When you upload your stuff you click on a button that legally prevents anyone using your stuff without your permission
cheers Lee.
Looks interesting - cheers for the info lee, didn't know about the agreement with zhura.
A sketch of mine also won on this not so long ago http://www.funnyordie.co.uk/videos/ac223a7186/zhura-winner-doctor-s-with-hardeep-singh-kohli-charlie-condou
So I can vouch for it and say its a very good opportunity to see some of your stuff filmed professionally.

Had not seen James' sketch before. Wonderful.

Also good.
My sketch was filmed too, although in all honesty they re-wrote the ending (I said they could if they came up with something better) and they made it 100 times better so I don't like to take too much credit!

Friendly guys, I wouldn't hesitate to send stuff to them.

love the ending
Can you submit just scripts or do you upload videos? (to zhura, I mean)
Funny Or Die is like a YouTube website. This thread is referring to the monthly competition were the Funny or Die team (through Zhura) select the best scripts submitted and film them.
Sign up to Zhura. Go here http://www.zhura.com/group/view/845 and join the FoD group. Submit a script(s) and just wait. I signed up a few months ao and have just seen the first update from the FoD team. So they are slow by the looks of it.
ah. Could be good for a laugh.
