Job Hunting

Who on here is going through a seemingly never ending job hunt? I'm been given minimum hours at the shop I work in, and I can't afford to give my job up, but the feeling I have had all summer, is boredom. Who else is feeling incredibly bored and frustrated lately?

Nope, busier than ever. Sorry.

I've got writers block. And feel like I have reached a point where the phone has stopped ringing. Plus, my pie was incredibly disappointing at dinner. Still, going to England vs Croatia tomorrow at Wembley. So it's swings and roundabouts I suppose

I have even worse news for you, you're actually thinking of playgrounds.

Flat hunting. :(

Just as bad.

can't afford to get a flat with the hours I am working; I've been job hunting all summer

Bloody hell, Adam, you're bringing us all down here! Do what I do when I've got a problem. Ignore it. Pretend it isn't there.

We do seem to have a place now though.

I'm been given

>_< I'm feeling bloody frustrated!

As for job hunting, I cannot stand the thought of going and working in a soul-destroying office again, so am freelancing. Or I will be (properly) if I can ever overcome the terrible obstacle of university.

The only comfort I have is that I have something to do for the next two days; then on Friday I'll sleep all day, work all weekend, (I sold my soul to the financial cheque back in 2002) and try and socialise without making a dick of myself, at a house warming, on Saturday night. Note the word TRY!!

Yes Adam, I am also in the miserble world of job hunting. It is making me hate a lot of people- in particular interviewers. Any BCGers got any good suggestions of places t try for copywriting jobs?

It is making me hate

That's the main reason most of us visit the BCG. :)

I've got to find a new flat come the end of October. Thank God we didn't start decorating the whole place. Slowly, one by one, everyone has left me to the extent where there is only two of us (out of an original five) left.

I am dreading looking for a new place. I could just move back in with my parents (as they have offered) but that would be admitting defeat, wouldn't it?

Nah, you're still only about 17 or something aren't you?

Pretty young anyway, live at home and save money while you can. You have a good 60/70 years later, in which you'll have to worry about affording a place to live!

I suppose. ;)

The only reason I left home was because me and my dad don't get on at all yet he is the one who has offered my old room back. :S

Defeat? No, it would be doing the sensible thing in a tough economic situation.
