I had to attend a school event last year where one young boy (about 7 yrs old) took to the stage and performed a standup routine involving jokes based on race and religion. I thought he was amazingly funny, but there was a lot of harsh disapproval.

Today, I have been mostly watching ...

Julian clary's sticky moments

Never missed that. The funniest memory is when he sang leader of the pack and at the end of the song he just keeps repeating "so, he was the leader of the pack, but now he's dead" :D Not seen him on the telly for years which is a shame because he had a biting wit.

The Secret Life of Machines from the late 1980s. Really enjoyed the series when it was on and learnt a lot from it.

This channel has a lot of graphic videos but this is a welcome change:

A heartwarming clip indeed, Tarby.

On a purely technical note, it's a massive and very common misconception that just because a cat can get up a tree, it can get down again.

Very often, the fact is the cat simply cannot get down again.

The reason is that, even though a cat's claws give it a tremendous amount of grip when climbing a tree, a cat's ankles are not designed to allow the cat to descend a tree trunk headfirst.

Always heartwarming to see a group of people working together to rescue an animal in peril. You can tell from the other trees that it must have been very high up and without that blanket it would have been lucky to survive. Especially as a kitten when the bones and muscles are not fully formed and it doesn't have the instinct to protect itself in a fall.

I like how one officer says "More than one way to save a cat" and his colleague thinking he has got the quote wrong tries to correct him :D

I heard this for the first time on the radio a few years ago while driving home late at night along country roads. It was very comforting.

Good for him as it shows him being proportionate and he could have probably done a lot more damage even in that suit :D I used to do skin work and some twat punched a friend of mine full in the face and sent her flying while doing a promotion in a shopping centre. She was dressed as a care bear at the time and the heads were huge with a safety helmet fitted inside so if you fell without using your arms it could easy cause a neck injury. That was 20 years ago and there is no way I would do that in shopping centres now. F**k Equity minimum I would want danger money.
