Kick off - The greatest footy game ever!

Kick-Off 2 on Atari ST (worse graphics, but about 10 times faster and more playable than the Amiga version), in fact was the best game ever, I reckon.

Only (relatively-recently) surpassed with the more recent Pro Evolution Soccer games on PlayStations 2 & 3. That's my all-time favourite game.

Other worthwhile mentions though:

Dungeon Master (ST version again) -- awesome!
Rick Dangerous -- *this* is the hardest game ever, just for one bit on level 2 involving two platforms and some arrows. I played this game for about 4 hours with cheats on and couldn't get past it.
Tetris on original Gameboy.

Dan

Bubble Bobble was great too. As was River Raid on the Atari. Unimpressed

Just tried to call Sony to see if they would give me a new PS2 cuz mine is breaking. Bastards! Wouldn't. But you did before, I told them! But they wouldn't listen. Bastards!

Very!! No seriously, I'm saving up for a holiday, but after that I can buy one. But at the moment I want to get the most out of my PS2, plus(!!) my missus bought loads of games for herself, whose wasteful enough to chuck them all away and start again? Huh?! Huh!

Mr "Money Bags" Bussell! :P

My favourite was was Lion King on the Mega Drive.

Can't you pick one up cheap on eBay?

I am looking, but I don't think it's worth it as I have no idea what condition they're in, regardless of the description. I'd rather not pay more that £40 for one, especially if it's second hand. I seem to be in an awkward position of might as well get a next gen, but then I'll loose a back catalog of games to 'I'm a tight bastard!'.

I thought you could play them on the PS3, but I haven't tried so I couldn't say for definite.

No PS3 isn't backward compatible as far as I know.

Ah, bugger. Never mind, I'll just have to sell/trade as much as I can and replace them.

* We are working with game publishers and peripheral manufacturers to develop the appropriate hardware to play peripheral-dedicated PS1 and PS2 games on the PS3. Ultimately, however, it will be up to those companies to decide if they want to produce these peripherals to support this gameplay option.
So don't rule it out. :)

Cheers Nilbo :)
