Hello all...
I have just booked up (last minute) for the 'Bull' one day sketch writing course this saturday, in the hope that it will kick start my comedy muse...any one else done one of these? Would any one be interested in my thoughts on how the day went?
I did Dave Cohen's one-day topical sketch writing course which was excellent.
Have also done Tony Kirwood's courses (though they were longer than a day). I wouldn't be getting anywhere in comedy without his courses, tbh.
Even if the courses aren't great, you'll meet lots of other writers and get contacts and, most likely, work in groups to bounce ideas off each other. Might even get a writing partner out of it -- that makes it loads easier to write!
Oh, and sooty will probably be there, seeing as how he attends every writing event in the UK! He's ubiquitous!
