The have a moan at Manchester United thread Page 2

I wouldn't dream about having a moan at Manchester United.

And Aaron will have your bollocks for earrings.

Why, does he support them?

Quote: Jack Massey @ September 2 2009, 10:56 PM BST

if you feel you need to have a good moan about Manchester United, do it on this thread

Can the Man U fans please respect their fellow fan's wishes and keep this thread on topic?

Man U smell.

See how easy that was?

*Jack said he was going to ignore this thread, but I don't believe him. ;)

Not really. It's just oh so very easy, that's why we do it. Back in the late 70s/early 80s when Liverpool were winning every bloody thing, their fans' attitude was so respectful to us lesser teams it was impossible to really dislike them. Plus, they had thick skins those guys. You couldn't get a cheap rise out of them.

Well along with thick skin they also had perms, tasches and shell suits. That is a hell of a lot to get through so it isn't really fair to compare us.

Who do you support?

I was born and bred in Islington, so Arsenal. And grew up watching us play shit football and not win anything, before playing shit football and winning stuff, then good football and winning things, then some great football and not win anything. Some great players and memories over the years and some dreadful players and awful moments. But hey, it's all swings and roundabouts football success - or at least it used to be - and that's the way it should be. :)

Moved to Bristol when I was 10. Before then Highbury and Northwick Park. Both sides of my family Gooners. Went to my first game in 1976, aged 3. Moved back to London aged 18 for college and starting going to games regularly again. Is that enough? (Once met the Arsenal squad when I was playing a university match at the Colney training ground. Saw Merse drive off in an absolute rage after an argument with Georgie Graham. Nicked a training top out of the back of the team coach.) ;)

You are Andy Cole and I claim my £5. (with my theft insurance).

I don't get why everyone hates Manchester United. But I'm working on it. I'm on chapter 2 of my History of Manchester United book. It's very thick. :(
I'm guessing you all hate them because they have money and win while your teams don't. Am I right?
Sure why not. That's why I hate some hockey and football (as in Pigskin playing Football) teams.

No I wasn't checking to see if you were a real fan I was just genuinely confused even though now I can see it had an obvious explanation.

I hope you kept that training top. Retro Football shirts are all the range apparantly although why I don't know.

Jealousy is the reason.

People try to bluff there way out and add on other shite as to why they hate us but it is mainly jealousy.

It's somewhere amongst the useless junk in my Mum's attic. Probably between Gilles Grimandi and Eddie McGoldrick.

It's probably hard being in Canada to understand the whole Man Utd thing. The concept doesn't travel well (a bit like the Man Utd team, in fact*)

(*runs away never to return to thread*)

What you have to understand Curt is that Man U are a powerful club, a very powerful club. They own the FA, the referees, the press and will crush anyone who gets in their way.

As a Manchester United player, you are allowed to flout the law - both on and off the pitch - without fear of recrimination.

But by far, their biggest crime, is having so many fans who know shit all about football. Like when you see Americans and middle class Englanders wearing Brazil shirts. They know nothing about the game except who wins it most of the time and then pretend they're proper fans, when in fact, they're just sheep.

And once a year, they fly all their players over to China to suck commie dick so they can sell more shirts. :P

Why do they call it football, when you actually use your shoe?

Shoeball

and

American Shoeball (with big wussy helmets on)
