Oh crap. Does this mean the successful writers have been informed? And does that mean my humble offering has been binned? My sketch got through the initial sift but I haven't heard any more and the waiting's killing me. Someone put me out of my misery...

I think somebody who's been told their stuff is being recorded would probably also have been told when.
Hello all. Just wondering if anyone could confirm that they've heard from the RFTP team following the sift of resubmitted sketches? I was told we would hear just before Christmas - but haven't heard anything. Probably been unsuccessful - so just wondering if any of the lucky ones could put me out my misery? Thanks.
Haven't heard either way yet, having submitted several rewrites.
But it was the same last year - had a sketch included and didn't hear about it till the week of broadcast (even then it was a 'we record more than we use so it may not make it to broadcast'), long enough after the resub that I'd assumed it wasn't in.
Have broadcast dates been confirmed yet? No one bothers to tell the writers these things!
I've had an email to say that they're running behind schedule and that they aim to get back to people before end Jan. There's still hope!
The BBC... behind schedule... it's unheard of... they're probably all in shock from JR's resignation statement

I've just received an email update. The highlights:

This is just a quick email to let you know what's going on with RFTP
series #4, which you'd be entirely forgiven for having forgotten about.
We still have more than we need for broadcast (about twice as much in
fact), so it's still a way off knowing which of your sketches will get
recorded. We'll be doing some (unrecorded) read-throughs with a small
audience in February and March, before recording in March and April.

But the highlight was surely: "I've now gone through my script editors' notes and can tell you that you've got at least one sketch through to the next stage. (About seventy of you knew this already, I think - but most of you had submitted rewrites that we've now read and liked.)"

I got that one as well.
I got a different email. 
Along the lines of "sorry but your re-writes aren't being taken any further". Not really surprised though - Ed was a bit lukewarm about the originals. Good luck to the rest of you. You...
