Do you GROW? Page 36

Don't worry, my small erection stands proud in the windy tunnel.

Laughing out loud Good lad! was afraid about the 'small erection' but you seem to have everthing in hand.

I dug up my parsnips far too early. This is because I'll hardly be there over the next few weeks/months as I adjust to college life.

They looked fine and are huge, but would taste better once they've endured a few weeks frost.

Only thin in now are leeks and swede which will stay in until Feb.

The fruits of one day picking our toms.

:O Wow! so jel' they are lovely sure love my cherry toms eat them all day, pop one in my mouth with a dip of salt! :)

My lettuce has gone to seed.

Anything easy to plant for winter? Kale?

You could get various brassicas as plug plants online. They'd be ready for April, or so.

My tip, though, is to go to Wilkinsons and get some winter (AKA Japanese) onion sets. These are hardy and will be ready in May.

:) Ta TB get some tom' hows college? and young lady?...

College: Fine, but way too busy already for my liking.

Or anyone else.
Is there anything you can plant over the winter (seeds or bulbs) that you could start growing indoors in little pots on your kitchen windowsill?

I have my pepper plants on my kitchen windowsill. They are growing but there's only about three fruits.

Early hyacinths? Flowers for Christmas, if you want.

Yep, hyacinths in pots should be in shops now/soon.

Plus, oregano & coriander can be sown any time of year.

For an ornamental seed, try Coleus (Solenostemon scutellarioides)

Intriguingggg.
Thanks all! You are a useful lot.

Parsely is still going strong!

I need to have a look at some winter crops.
Cos growing stuff is fun innit
