Do you GROW? Page 32

Isn't the yellow one just a pansy?

It could be.

I need to remember where I put all the empty seed packets

Pics make it a tad tricky, Steve, but....

Pic 1: Dianthus/Sweet William.

Pic 2: Marigold (flower looks like a pansy, but the leaves are deffo marigold-based).

Pic 3: Gladioli....just you wait until those beauties are all fully open. You can use these as cut flowers. I have the exact same variety in bloom right now.

THat sounds right.
Cheers TB.

I definitely planted 1 & 2
3 were bulbs & the missus did them

Yep....the Gladioli bulbs can be slightly tender so you could mound up some earth over them in the winter. Unless you live in the south, south west.

The 'cottage'/wild flower beds looking fine. I like the chaotic look of this type of planting:

I think I may put a couple of pics up of my planting today...I'm back in gardening mode. :)

This has only been done today but I'm looking forward to them filling out and maturing.
TB, I love your wildflower look, that's exactly the sort of thing I like in a garden.

Iris ,Plumbago Escapade Blue, and a fern whos label fell off and I can't remember it's name!

w00t!

Second border!

Buddleja 'pixie red' , Aster 'dandy', Aster 'Audrey', Erigeron 'Azure Fairy', Argyranthemum 'white'

No image...arrgh Angry

Will post more when they have matured a bit anyway.

I pulled up the last of my misshapen carrots.

Image

But I think my lettuces have gone a bit wrong.

Image

Laughing out loud

Who knew that could even happen?!

My Dad has been telling me his are doing that. Now I know what he means.

Those lettuces have 'bolted'. This means they are going to try to send up flowers and set seed.

In other words, you've left them in too long and they've been stimulated into this extra growth by the hot, wet weather.
