'macaque my pants'
'The A to Chimpanzee of primate dining'
I could be wrong, and God knows I don't want to seem like I'm standing up for arguably the most obnoxious poster who's ever graced these forums, but I believe the title change was down to the press office and marketing types, not Isaac.
But anyway, the pilot was dire and the series looks ... well, we'll see on the 10th.
You are a very fair man, Aaron, you view us all with an unbiased level of disdain.
Jesus though, if you're getting the title of your show changed by press officers you're really in trouble. IMO.
IIRC, 'Admin' was deemed to not reflect that it was a comedy, or to not appeal to the TA, something like that.
And yeah, I do.

I think the script did that particular job quite adequately.
I'm going to watch at least the 1st episode, if only to see how big the changes from the pilot are. Perhaps it will be funny, who knows?

Very good point.
I didn't like the pilot, but I didn't think it was any worse than Coming of Age or Two Pints of Lager. It seemed to fit in very well with that ouvre.
High praise indeed.
They'd have been better off with a series of 'Delta Forever' from that particular set of pilots.
I have to admit I don't remember any of them other than Admin. But if that was considered the one with most series potential...
I think Tim probably means the show similar in the fact that, like the other shows named, Admin/Lunch Monkeys features slightly bawdy comedy, performed by a fairly-young cast.
Anyway, I think people should give Lunch Monkeys a chance. It's been heavily tweaked from the pilot. Nigel Havers is on board to add some class, and Matt Lipsey is now behind the camera (he's the director who did that amazing job on Psychoville)

Well, if he's behind the camera then perhaps I will give it a go.
I feel the sitcom should be judged after watching the first two episodes. The first episode is normally trying to get the audience to identify with the characters whereas in the second we will actually start to see its full potential. I recently was able to see the first two episodes before writing an article on it for a few magazines, and to be honest it's an huge improvement from the pilot and a lot better then some of the crap I have seen recently on bbc3 ahem 'coming of age' I cannot believe that got a second series!
Overall I believe lunch monkeys is actually a good watchable comedy with good performances from the young cast and Nigel havers was also very good.
Well, I certainly hope it is a big improvement. It can't be any worse than the pilot, so we'll see how it turns out.
