Yeah, its all wrong that if we're the type who would naturally be affectionate with kids that it can be taken the wrong way. We came across a crying wandering child while away on holiday last year and we along with another couple of people walking along stopped to see what was wrong, the mum came out of a nearby apartment and was relieved and very greatful that we had taken the time, I wouldnt hesitate to step in, and hope someone would do the same of it were my kids.

No, the paedos don't want to limit your freedom; you're confusing them with Islamist terrorists. Until you can distinguish the two, avoid playing with other people's kids, and don't fly any hijcked aircraft into buildings.
