Ace is tradionally a northern saying, I sort of resent you using it
I think one of my favourites has to be Steptoe and Son's 'Divided We Stand', where they end up splitting the house in half and putting a turnstile at the front door. It works perfectly with Harold and Albert's constant bickering at each other.
That is probably my favourite Steptoe & Son episode. Absolutely hilarious.
"The fire brigade had to put a penny in the turnstile"
Good one, I have referenced this episode often to former girlfriends.

Ha ha! That was one of the outstanding lines!

Classic!
Fawlty Towers' 'Communication Problems', 'The Anniversary Party' and 'The Psychiatrist' - just endless reels of misunderstandings and mistakes

Yes, great episode that. But not my favourite Steptoe one. My favourite Steptoe episode is Pilgrim's Progress.
I rather expected you to say The Desperate Hours, Jack.
Another top episode, but Pilgrim's Progress just takes it, it is top notch. Have you viewed that episode Aaron?
Which one's Pilgrims Progress? Can't remember the plot line for that one.
Where Harold takes his Dad to see the trenches in France where he fought in WW1. But they don't get there as Albert starts a fight with an American and Frenchman on the plane and they are deported.
Seinfeld's 'The Contest' deserves a mention.

Yes, of course.
