Chin Ups

INT. LOUNGE. DAY.

WE OPEN ON THE SHOT OF THE TOP OF A DOORFRAME, A MAN SPENCE IS DOING CHIN UPS USING THE FRAME. EACH SENTANCE IS PUNCTUATED BY SPENCE DISAPPEARING OUT OF SHOT.

SPENCE
See this...
Isn't so...
Tough...
When you...
Get...
used to it...
really...

WE CUT TO SPENCES MATE DAVE WATCHING HIM/

DAVE
Yeah but you are cheating a bit and Gwen and little Molly will be back soon and they won't be happy.

WE PAN TO REVEAL THAT SPENCE IS SITTING IN A BABY BOUNCER AND IS USING THE MOMENTUM OF THE BOUNCE TO DO HIS CHIN UPS. HE SUDDENLY LOOKS DEFLATED.

END

If correctly executed, it would work, Danny.

[In fact, I could see that working for Mat Brooks' Dave Granger character].

Very nice, I take it your feeling better?

You could even do it silent, but a lovely funny, 1 idea sketch.

Yep all but a snotty nose, I am swine flu free, again this is one of my old ones as I'm sorting out my sketches if they make me smile again I stick them up here, and occasionally they make others smile, which is what it's all about.

Good. Only thing is I'm note sure it needs his mate's line.
