Fawlty Towers: Best Guest

I've checked, but I don't think there is a thread on this already.

In your book, who was the best guest to check into Fawlty Towers? My favourite was Mrs. Richards from 'Communication Problems'.

That'll be Bernard Cribbins!

Geoffrey Palmer put on a terribly good show.

Agreed. Also Lord Melbury.

All of the above!

Loved Bernard Cribbins. Peas are an integral part of the overall flavour.
Or something. :)

The flashy git who turned out to be a policeman scared me when I was little.

Laughing out loud Why?

Lord Melbury.

Basil was great when he was checking in.

Ken Campbell

I was going to say him but he wasn't a hotel guest, only a guest at Basil's do.

Well Geoffrey Palmer wasn't a guest either. I decided to use guest in the sense of a guest appearance. With the whole hotel thing being a pun.

I thought he was a guest. Why was he in the restaurant ordering breakfast? Did he just turn up to sign a death certificate?

Was he? Oh bugger. Oh well. Still did it for me.

Yep.

As far as I remember, anyway.

I don't knooow!
He was too cockney, or too aggressively sexual or something!

Plus I *think* he was wearing a medallion.. :/

Ah, probably why he didn't scare me!
