Mikey is a very good sport.
How do you feel having your work evaluated by your peers Mikey?

I have to be a good sport around here. I'm always getting picked on. (my own fault usually!!)

It'll just be like Critique, I suppose.

Yeah, but more complicated!
Apparently, it's anonymous, so, unless smeone has a distinct writing style, you never know whose is whose.

Is he expecting everyone to go through this process, or just new people?

Still, I don't know if I trust another new-ish writer to judge my work fairly or professionally. I would say everyone was shit, just to make myself look better.

I really don't know.
Presumably the veterans are excempt. ??
I'd have thought peeps like Tim and Matthew would have more info about it, being, as I said, the veterans.
I'm still relatively new to the fold and still the cleaner.

heh heh.
I don't know what your plans are for all these characters, but I think you should cut down on them.
Did you send him Ghandi The Musical?

I can vouch for the greenbacks.

This has been mentioned in other threads so, briefly, Screenplay optioned a script of mine about 18 months ago, took it to the BBC, who liked it and commissioned a Pilot episode script. They evaluated the project and decided not to pursue it. But I was paid the writers fee for the Pilot script.

So who paid the greenbacks?
I seem to recall that Steve said the BBC paid him an optioning fee, but I could be wrong.

Do indies usually pay new writers for scripts (before they're commissioned)?
This is Screenplay's Fringe show:
Looks pretty funny.

Yes if a script is optioned the company optioning it pays a fee to do so. That is the norm.
For clarity, there was no fee for the option, the writers fee was paid 50% on asignation of copywright and signing the development agreement and 25% once I submitted the pilot script commissioned by the development agreement, between Screenplay and the BBC. There was a further 25% payable if the series was commissioned, but it wasn't.
