Bit over the top, but some of it is spot on.

Thanks Nil.

Yes, Aaron, the London tenants' committee are the most-relaxed about who they deem suitable to move into the neighbourhood. Rolling eyes

Exactly.

But never trust statistics, they lie.

I'm trying to decide whether this is racist or not? I don't think it is, but to be on the safe side...

Nazi!! Angry

I said white Cockneys, not white people in general. A lot of Cockneys have moved out, to Essex, haven't they?

*giggles*

Well, it's all worth looking into. They're bringing in some kind of new points system for immigration though, IIRC. Certainly worth looking into further though, if you're seriously interested in moving. None of the Americans I know here regret moving in the slightest. Plus, if you went gay, you could get married.

As for where to move to, for the activities you want for your kids, the city you'd be best off with is London. I'd suspect that London would be the least questioning of foreigners moving in too. Need to work out those rent/purchase prices though.

Aaron, you do talk shite sometimes, pretty much every city is open to people from All cultures and I don't know about you but if you're moving to England you don't want to move to the most expensive part of it! Andrea if you are looking for a place to move, the south certain isn't a bad start but everything is very expensive and jobs to match living costs aren't to easy to find especially if you have no specific skills.

Not being biased but the Midlands is rather popular to move too (leicester / nottingham / birmingham), it's close to everything (2 hours to london via train) and quite cheap compared, £500 - £600 would get you spacious three bed semi in a nice enough area.

You must understand, Paul, that Aaron believes life is just one big student grant.

Midlands I would definitely agree with my pal Paul on. You are close to pretty much everywhere. Thats where I'm moving soon :) So you knows it's good.

And that London is the greatest city ever. Which is mental.

What would be the situation with regards visas, etc to move here and work, etc from the States?

You know what they say, when you're tired of London you've been there an hour and it's time to go home.

Blimey that's cheap. Down south that would cost around £300,000.
