Can anyone tell me if Helmans mayonaise has a similar taste to the Heinz one? By which I mean is it creamy as opposed to tangy?
Most mayonaise that you buy here has much stronger tangy/vinegar taste to it. I much prefer the sort you can eat with chips.
Helmans is creamier.
Thanks. Will use that in my potato salad instead of the one I tried tonight. Makes it to tangy with red wine vinegar.
I find it odd how things can be called the same but be entirely different.
Some people add yoghurt to the mayonnaise.

All of our mayo is creamy and tastes the same. We have something called Miracle Whip that tastes more strongly of vinegar. It's marketed as salad dressing but it's used like mayo in certain parts of the country. People from places like Indiana and Michigan tend to love the stuff while most of the rest of the country avoids it.
To me Helmans and Heinz mayo taste the same.
Maybe I'm not very taste observant.

Last time I was at the barbers I also had the eyebrow trim; being follically challenged I assumed it was down to the diminishing amount of hair left for her to cut; she had already spent five minutes on my ears, so it was either the eyebrows or the nostril hair...
My eyebrows are still not my own.
