Books that disappoint Page 7

I was told by my 6 year old daughter that I was wasting my time reading The Zombie Survival Guide because they aren't real. I do realize that while in a zombie attack, one really doesn't have time to stop and read for tips. Oh well, guess I'll just keep carrying my chainsaw.

Only for close contact encounters and may attract other zombies. Unwise. ;)

(Nil's a social worker in Hartcliffe.)

I believe Hartcliffe is 100% infected. Nuking's the only way.

Read Good As Gold instead, which Heller's very funny satire on US politics and Jewishness.

I've got it but put it off after reading the abortion of Closing Time. But I'll have a look. :)

I'd also recommend 'Something Happened'. :)

Shakespeare has always left me cold. I could never (and still don't) understand the fascination he holds. I can't bear hearing Olde English. It makes my ears hurt.

Wouldst thee forgive me for oft thou art telling the truth. Methinks, I hath protest't too much o'er the bard.

Oh, and he's full of cliche. ;)

And if he was such a great writer, how come he had to make up words all the time? That's just cheating. Unimpressed

Extractimently... eth

Right, let me get this straight, according to BCG Forum members -

The Beatles were shit
Star Wars was shit
William Shakespeare was shit

But we have a ten page thread about the intricate personalities of Big Brother 10.

Hmmm.

:D

But we have a ten page thread about the intricate personalities of Big Brother 10.

But there's probably only about 3 people posting in that thread, I imagine? And chances are 2 of them are educationally subnormal.

As covered in "How to lie with statistics" and Vance Packard's excellent "Hidden Persuaders" if your test results contradict what you want it to say, simply resample, narrow the sample rate, widen the sample rate. Keep plugging away. Eventually you'll get the result your client demands.

Not really narrowing down the BCG members really...
