I need a hotel down in the capital f0r a couple of nights and was wondering if anyone was able to recommend anywhere nice and cheap where I won't die.
they are the only real criteria.

I've been there twice and a twin room for one night was £60...

Could be worth trying lastminute.com, depending on just when you need to be in town. A friend of mine managed to get a double room at the rather posh place on Leicester Square for £30 per night through them.
laterooms.com and bookings.net sometimes have bargains

Not in this country. A fine at most. And if it's between consenting adults then they are likely to turn a blind eye.

Indeed it is. We could have most of the population who shouldn't be procreating locked up, instead of drunkenly doing just that.
