Sketch Query

Has there ever been a comedy sketch where in the middle of whatever conflict was taking place a completely irrelevant person appeared?

Say, for example, an old couple are bickering in their living room over what to watch on telly and a cowboy on horseback appears saying something like 'Howdy folks, just passing through.' And he comes in one door and exits the other.

You get the general gist. Thanks.

Monty Python, Mr. Show, ermm...

Cheers, I was thinking Python may have done something surreal like that.

Check out Mr. Show with Bob and David. A lot of their sketches are intertwined.

Sootyj rides through an horse.

"Howdy yall"

*shakes fist*

Why you cotton pickin'!

Rides into the sunset.

You'll be burnt to a cinder but if you were to ride towards the sunset.

Pat's his horse "ill formed metaphor."

That horse can ride through any mangled sentence.

Time to put it down soots. I'll get the mallet, eh, I mean gun.

You'll be tickling pigs pilgrim.

Reach for the sty.

Part 2 and 3 of these adverts have cowboys riding through the middle of the scenes.
