Outrageous sitcoms

Which sitcoms have been the most outrageous in their content?

Today's outrage is tomorrow's banality. The Young Ones was prettyi outrageous in its day. Even Man About The House was considered daring when it started. Likewise Ab Fab with its drug taking. From Married With Children to Two And A Half Men, anything with jokes about sex might be deemed outrageous by some people. And prudes might consider Love Thy Neighbour outrageous if it were broadcast these days.

Personally I consider sitcoms such as Who's the Boss, Charles in Charge, Full House and Red Dwarf to be outrageously shite.

What about those sitcoms outside the mainstream? Are there any truly sick sitcoms (sickoms?) which can only been seen underground ?

Why would a prodco or TV company make something that will never get broadcast or seen due to it's outrageous content?

Heil Honey I'm Home! was rather tame in reality, but the synopsis, when read without seeing the show, could certainly be described as 'outrageous'.

Soap of course was quite outrageous at the time dealing with homosexuality and transexualism.

I think Johnny Speight made a huge impact with Till Death Us Do Part so he thought he could do the same with Curry & Chips, but that turned out to be an absolutely outrageous sitcom in every sense of that word.

I take it yours is a rhetorical question. My answer is, there is plenty of outrageous material in other things, so why not in a sitcom?
