Would that he posted in Critique...
Back on topic, it's worth following The Onion on Twitter just for their sublimely funny headlines.
Interested to know what BCGers think of this...

I saw those pop up yesterday and thought they were a bit out of the ordinary. Still, surely if you were subscribed to The Onion you'd know they trade in satire? And who would have taken a story like congressmen taking people hostage seriously? We're not living in the Old Detroit of Robocop just yet.
Incidentally, did y'all see Sky Arts is picking up Onion News for uk broadcast? I think I'll be V+ing that.
Yeah I did read something about that, sounds interesting!
I follow the Onion, so expect these headlines some are better than others.
AJGO did you find this offensive? a step too far?

Didn't find it offensive, just thought it was peculiar. Wondered what the point was, didn't find it satirical, just made-up which isn't the same thing. If they were aiming for it to be seen by people not following the onion, then it's no different from some nutjob calling in a fake bomb. But if it was only aimed at people who do follow the onion, then I would have thought they'd try harder to make it... funny.
I know, and agree with you.
ONN is f**king amazing.
The 2011 wrap-up episode was especially fantastic.
