Jam & Jerusalem - Series 3 Page 2

Laughing out loud

Ideal.

I don't mind Jam and Jerusalem. I think we're all agreed that this show isn't laugh a minute but does well for some people to wind down the day.

Is this show aimed at a particular demographic? It is a church with a women's guild setting (a safe location which may attract to a church going, calm audience that aren't wholly interested in black comedy) yet we have a famous comic cast which will probably appeal to any comedy nut (ie. us lot).

As most comedy fans are more used to a sharper, riskier, quick paced storyline like Peep Show with a strong following, the BBC might have thought a change would be good. This type of show tends to have a slow, steady storyline which today is rare.

It is (personally) a lighthearted, calm, warm (similar words like these etc) show with a handful of chuckles.

Soporific to the point of somambulism.

My opinion

or

the show?

My written opnion, the one you see, is the edited version. ;)

The show should not only be banned but the cas and writers should be killed to prevent it being remade, the villagew in which it is shot should be atom bombed and the ground sown with salt and anyone discussing it should be locked up in solitary confinement for ever.
It should be cleanesed like the nasty stain it is from the earth.

I dread to think what you would do with 'Coming of Age'!

Just not recomission it.

Jam and Jerusalem is an infamous creation like; The Satanic Bible, The racist/sexist bits of the Khoran and Duty Free.

You've seen the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre, I presume? Well, sootyj would make the writers and cast watch that, whilst he rubbed all their skin off with a cheese grater, lit fireworks stuck into their various orifices, poke twizzle sticks in their eyes, whilst dousing them in a mixture of boiling cough syrup and Shake'n'Vac. All the time singing the theme tune from Love Boat. Then he'd get "medieval on their ass".

How's the future of Coming of Age looking if they have cancelled Two Pints??

With all due respect, who gives a gnat's cock?

Ouch!

Sure a firm talking to wouldn't suffice?

As outnumbered as I am, I'm still happy with watching this. The fact that I'm a massive Sally Phillips fan might have something to do with it though... that is what pulled me to it in the first place and I've just followed it since. That aside I still think it's OK.

It's just a Marmite sitcom, just that the majority hate it.

Tim when ethnically cleansing thoroughness beats sadism if you want to do the job right.

Careful, soot, that's just the type of comment the bastards will misrepresent when you're standing in the dock at The Hague.

The Hague? More like being sentenced to a 4 star hotel with hookers and dope on tap, bring it on.
