The all-in-one consolidatory football thread Page 73

William Hill have England at 5/1 to win the damn thing.

I think I might wager £20 on the basis that . .

a. If they do, God forbid, win it I'm £100 better off

and

b. If they don't, please God, £20 is worth it just to see those knuckle draggers take their stoopid little flags off their cars !

Angry

Disappointing Chelsea losing to City - more so because the other lot won.

I don't mind if Chelsea don't win the league as long as THEY don't win it. It really would be terrible for English football if they win a fourth one in a row.

Was weird yesterday, I went out to watch United and then found myself for the first time in my life genuinly cheering for City. I dislike City, I don't dislike Chelsea, but it was time to get off the high horse and cheer for the best result for United.

Grow Up.

Let's keep the respect in this thread, Spagett. Chappers was exceptionally mature regarding the Blackburn result.
:)
Personally, I'd love the 4th title in a row. And I'll even pay for a ticket at Anfield in 2010-11 to see if the scousers are still waving the "Come back when you have 18" banner. I'll even buy SlagB a ticket for that 'un.
Laughing out loud

So you don't want us to win the World Cup?

Grow Up.

Honestly it would be. Nothing against Manchester United in this case but if the same team keeps winning it what is the point of the others taking part? It will get the same as Scotland where realistically only two teams have a chance of winning the league. How boring must that be for the other teams up there? All they can hope for is a freak win against either of them to make their season.

the point for others taking part is to try and move higher up the league to try and get europa or champions league spots. e.g man city, tottenham, fulham etc etc

Brought Fifa 10 the day it came out. But watching some of the Champions League action on the new PES on YouTube, looks good and thinking of buying it. Has anyone else got the new PES?

Even as a person who does not like Liverpool FC in the least, I can't say Torres is overrated. He's possibly the best striker in the world. And definitely would walk into Man UTD, Chelsea, or any other team as a first choice. IMO, of course.
:)
And echo EJP. You need to be watching capitals etc.
:)

I'd certainly say he's one of the best in the world.

Agreed.

when I say torres is over rated in the game, that's taking into consideration his body balance and speed being average, yet him being able to outmuscle stronger players in the game :(

and best striker in the world Unimpressed
maybe hes the second best in the world behind owen :)
