Thankfully I ended up backing Ireland to just win in 90 minutes, at 13/2. I put a fiver on, and won 32.50.

Opinions please Mr Tim Walker
What's the most embarrassing defeat you've ever seen your team suffer? I remember, back in the dark days when I had a season ticket at Goodison in the early '90s, we were regularly at the bottom of the league, and our attendances were really low. We played QPR at home, and we went in at half-time 1-5 down! We eventually managed to pull it back to 3-5, but still it was a f**king embarrassment.
9-0, the infamous game at Old Trafford in 1994.
Glad to know that we (Ipswich Town) still hold the record the heaviest gubbing in the Prem despite the best efforts of the Lactics.
Was also at Old Trafford when Town got beat 4-0 a few years later, a terrible match made worse by the fact that I'd just got a mobile phone and signed up for a goal text alert service, so not only was I watching Ipswich get beat but everytime a goal went in, 30 seconds later my phone would go off with a text telling me who'd just scored the goal I'd seen with my very own eyes AND each one cost my 12.5p!
I was actually in Manchester, on the day of that 9-0 game, and I remember seeing the score written on the evening newspaper stands.
My worst score was Sutton losing 8-0 to Norwich after knocking Coventry out of the FA Cup in the previous round. 3-0 down after 20 minutes and no point in worrying anymore.
I remember FC United losing 5-0 and all the way till the end we were singing 'Were gonna win 6-5 were gonna win 6-5'
