Does anyone think Ireland have got a chance of qualifying? I might put a fiver on them, if the odds are decent.

The odds on Ireland qualifying are around 6/1.

Well, I hope the Irish twat the French.

I think that Ireland will just have to go out and attack. I can't see them making it though.

They just need a bit of luck.

Watching that one myself Jack, 0-0 half time, though the Republic better team so far. On RTE it will defo be televised, whether you can get that through Freeview/Sky I'm not sure. I would expect Sky to show it tbh.

Sky are televising; kick off is 8.00.

There's also a bit of a tasty game this afternoon - kick-off at 5.30 on Eurosport

A ball. It gets kicked about by a load of sweaty lads in shorts and nylon t-shirts. How utterly gay. Especially when they start groping each other after scoring a goal.

Nice one
I've just switched to Sky Sports news.

:)

Shocking Scenes. Henry's tastier with his hands than Floyd Mayweather.

Just watching the film The Damned United half way through it, what a good film. Has anyone else watched it? Brian Clough was a legend wasn't he?

I found the film disappointing. They turned it into a bit of a comic romp when the book is much darker and deeper. Try the book Jack, it's very very good.

Outrageous wasn't it? You never know what would have happened if the ref had spotted it - the game going to penalties most likely - but it's gutting for Ireland after such a great performance. They missed some great chances to go 2-0 up in normal time and that would have sealed it.

I kind of feel sorry for French fans too. At least when England failed to qualify for Euro 2008 it gave the FA the chance to fire McLaren. The French are now stuck with that muppet Domenech for another tournament.

Let's hope there's something in reincarnation; I hope Thierry Henry comes back as a Saudi.

Henry was noticeable by his absence for about 90% of the game - then juggles the ball and it's in the net.

And Jack - how can you really say Evra is the best left-back in the world?

But surely even in Saudi you don't get your hands cut off unless it's spotted by the referee or his assistants? I know for a fact you can't be retrospectively beheaded because of subsequent video evidence.

The Saudi's aren't governed by Sepp Blatter's outdated 'rules', they're forward thinkers.

Possible seedings...
