Most probably not, but will to United fans. Too many jealous supporters won't allow that to happen.

It's a similar situation in that Revie was manager of the top team of the time. They employed the next best manager but there were too many egoes there to accept him.
Yes, but that Leeds team weren't very nice to Clough, paticularly Bremner and Giles. Would be interested to know how much of The Damned United is true.
I've never seen the film. I just know what happened at the time. They'd known so much success with just one man to look up to - so when he went they couldn't accept someone with a bigger ego.
Shouldn't the thread title be changed to "The all-in-one consolatory football thread" for all the Liverpool fans here?
Nice to see Chappers and Jack speaking without froth.
Clough was a legend - I must watch that film, although Clough's family thought it showed him up in a bad way and it wasn't strictly accurate, didn't they?

It's not been a good week for goalkeepers:
Spurs goalkeeper Carlo Cudicini has been taken to hospital with fractured wrists and a suspected broken pelvis after a road smash.
The Italian stopper suffered what police have described as 'possibly life-changing' injuries after crashing his BMW motorbike in Walthamstow in east London.

What a terrible shame!

Better to have one manager with a 4 match ban then a new manager every 4 matches
He will serve a two match ban with the further two being suspended until the 2010-2011 season (he may have retired by then).
As to what you said Chappers about Clough and all the success Leeds had under one manager. It sounds awfully what may happen at Old Trafford when Ferguson retires.

Even if the refs aren't ganging up against him, he'll be convinced they are.
Well it has to be the first time I've screamed in celebration whilst playing Fifa. Now playing on Legendery (the highest level) I have a European Cup match against Real Madrid. Not being up to playing such a good team on legendery, I was not surprisingly getting battered in the first half. I was lucky to go in at half time 1-0 down due to a Kaka goal. The second half was very much the same, yet was still 1-0 down. Then on the 80th minute, Darren Fletcher equalises. Then in the 90th minute, a Park Ji Sung corner fell to Jonny Evans. There was only one place it was going. I was actually up celebrating. God I love Fifa.

We can hope and pray!
