After last week's MoTD, when the pundits declared that the Premiership 'was Manchester City's to lose', they've now changed it to 'it's Chelsea's to lose'. That's good to know.

Neither am I. He's doing a great job!
Quote: Renegade Carpark @ 9th February 2014, 5:55 PM GMT15 consecutive years of Champions League football and never finishing lower then 5th in the league might have something to do with it. What a silly sausage.
Don't their supporters want a trophy?

We got a brand new stadium, we're debt free, we're one of the richest clubs in the world, we play beautiful football, we're internationally respected, never have to worry about relegation, we don't change our manager every season, we don't buy our way to success, our owners don't insist on changing the name or team colours, the vast majority of our players are involved in their national sides and are rarely involved in tabloid scandal.
A trophy would be nice, but Wigan got one last season and where are they now?

Highbury / Emirates?

Both are actually called Arsenal Stadium. Highbury was an affectionate nickname and Emirates Airlines have signed a 15 year sponsorship deal, when that runs out, it will be Arsenal Stadium again...or until someone else coughs up the cash. Where presumably I can watch the Arsenal Rhinos playing in their familiar orange and green.

Hmm, just going to check the stats for the Premierships top scorers this season - well what do you know? Giroud has scored more goals then Rooney, is equal with ex-Arsenal striker Robin Van Persie and ahead of the other ex-Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adabayor.
What a classless donkey.

Sadly have to agree with a lot of that PR spin Jealousy of their consistent high ranking is definitely a large factor in the sport of Arsenal bashing. Wigan and all the other one cup wonder teams would happily swap it for being Arsenal. Yes there's even credit to them for treating their manager with respect and not indulging in the Chelski like summary sackings.
BUT it took a near supporters club revolt to get the corporate minded footsie 100 index obsessed suits to finally spend more than 15m on a top player, and who did Wenger choose to blow 40 odd million on? A streak of nothing who looks like he's got terminal bird flu. Like throwing a hippy Christian to the Lions.
Stoopid Chelsea. Should have buried Sandwell Town.

Yea, some "trophies" are BS... Where are Birmingham City and Alex McLeish now?
Basically, winning a trophy comes down to lucking-out, and avoiding one of the oil-funded clubs out of the hat in each round.
Wenger is a miracle worker to have qualified for the CL 15 times in a row (I believe he's actually progressed through the group stages of the CL on every occasion too, which makes his record even more amazing).
With two relentless, oil-funded teams, Arsenal fans should be delighted to be in their current position, regardless of what Liverpool just did to them.
Compare Arsenal's incomingutgoing ratio for transfer fees (can't comment on signing fees and wages, but it's said they are lower too) for the last 5 years, when compared to Man City and Chelsea.
It's a miracle they are even in-touch with these two clubs that can (and do) completely disregard the bottom-line.

I just f**king knew it was going to be a draw.
It's so bloody Chelsea.
Now Chelsea have slipped up! Whose turn next?
