The all-in-one consolidatory football thread Page 483

Arsenal. Unlucky perhaps. Still shocking. Compounded by the mis-advice that Walcott wouldn't be playing and all the other injuries before a ball had even been kicked. Time for a few laboratory tests on the creatine or whatever is in fashion today. It isn't working. But the problem isn't Wenger. It's that lousy remote oval thing which is nothing less than a jinx. Highbury must be rebuilt immediately, preferably to the 1913 plan.

(Congratulations to Gerry, though - a fine result for the Villa)

Swansea enjoying the best of the second half so far.

Ooooh! The Rooney is coming on!

What a goal by RVP!

Looking forward to seeing how Mourinho V2.0 gets on today.

The mighty reds are top of the league. As they say down my way...

EIEIEIO.
Up the football league we go.
When we get promoted, this is what we'll sing..
We are Forest, We are Forest,
Billy is our king.

I was so worried that being a girlie you were supporting the scum from Old Trashford.

Then I saw it was Forest and I approve whole-heartedly.

(I bet you're pleased to hear that!)

If you're going to Selhurst Park this season, don't sit in the disabled section. This is the view of the pitch. You don't sit on top of that black structure, you sit behind it. Ticket price for that zone? 26 notes. An utter disgrace.

That's really sad. Agree with the comments I've read about the FF website at 3pm yesterday too. With the amount of money in the game, it should be a Rolls Royce service, not a jumble sale. Applies to all teams too.

being a girlie

Eh?

Is it a joke I'm not getting?

And hi Don! Been to any good Harvesters lately? :)

Are girls more likely to support Manure? :S

I've been a lifelong Forest fan, season ticket holder etc.

I often find people generally have a soft spot for Forest - probably because of Cloughie and his achievements. We always try and play good football as well. No hoofing.

Things are looking encouraging for us this year, but you never know how the season will pan out.

No joke. Palace have built a TV studio right in front of the disabled seating area. Wheelchair users now have a severely restricted view of the pitch.

Haha - that idea was always doomed to failure, along with London Zoo. Hope you're keeping well, old chum. :)

Wow. That is quite astonishingly astonishing. That is so awful I might have to be a bad person and write a sketch about it.

That would be true if most of them lived in Cornwall.

I don't mind Forest at all and it is mainly the Cloughie thing. It would also be good to have another acceptable club in the top flight.

Sad to hear about Derby as I know a very nice 94 year old who lives there. Think, though, she is on the posher outskirts. A place beginning with an A.

Week 1 - Injury Table

http://www.physioroom.com/news/english_premier_league/epl_injury_table.php

Ludicrous.....so why?

From today's Independent:

"Wenger always used to insist on preparing for a season with summer training camps in the Alps; instead, Arsenal have joined everyone else in tearing round Asia convincing themselves that playing in 85 degree humidity in Vietnam is ideal preparation for a November night in Hull."

The sum proposed by Man Utd for Fellaini and Baines does sound pretty small, but perhaps Moyes knows something we don't about the Toffee's finances.

Today I Received an unsolicited email from the bookmakers BetFred offering a free £10 bet if I signed up.
No deposit, no card details so I signed and got a free £10 bet

So I have used it on Man City tonight to win 3 - 1 at 10/1. Obviously you don't get your stake back but £100 if that is the final score.

So if you want a free tenner on a football match, get signed up.

You might be on to something there. 2-0 at the moment. Unfortunately I can't see Newcastle even getting a shot on goal, let alone scoring.
