I hate red teams!!!!!

Only because internationals these day are ten a penny, friendlies against Boogie Boogie Land etc.
Shameful.
Billy Wright's 105 and Bobby Moore's 108 are worth much more.
Yes on BBL, that didn't happen in the past but Cole also put in good performances at all the big comps he's been in. I remember thinking many times what a great game Cole had at that world cup or euro game, so his 100 is a decent 100 and he puts a real shift in every time. I think he's a magnificent player really.
1 - 0 to The Republic of Ireland
Caught the last 25 minutes. Thank goodness I didn't put myself out for the whole game.
Whsat really is the point of friendly internationals from a spectators point of view? If I'd paid I'd feel really cheated.
It's useful for the managers to try things out but the number of subs allowed still makes it a joke.

Bringing James Milner on for the last five minutes makes a mockery of the awarding of 'caps'.
What was the point?
It certainly wasn't to change the game, unless RH was worried the Irish would nick the game, Milner being able to defend.
And why play five in midfield (inc Rooney) anyway?
Maybe RH didn't want the Irish to nick the game.
Oh, hang on, is there a pattern forming here?
What a hero.
Former Southampton striker Ron Davies, one of the club's greatest players, has died in the United States aged 70.
The Welsh international scored 153 times in 281 games during seven years with Saints, including four in one game against Manchester United in 1969.
I think he moved to them the year they got relegated!
FC Basel won the Swiss Championship for the fourth time in a row. That compensates for the EL semifinals thrashing from Chelsea.
Thought the first half had some good play but the game petered out a bit in the second half. I don't know why Robbie Keane is still being picked. He hasn't had a good game for Ireland in about 5 years. Coleman had a great game and a fantastic header from my fellow Tipperary man Shane Long. That was the leap of a Tipperary hurler!
I think England could have nicked it at the end but there can't be too many complaints about the draw. Great to see that the game was played in good spirits.

Baines has been the best left back in the league for the last two seasons, (maybe three) I don't see why some still consider Cole the best overall.

That's because they always beat Young Boys. Paedos!
Quote: Teddy Paddalack @ May 15 2013, 10:19 AM BSTI like Martinezs style of play going forward but their defensive capabilities are well off the pace.
Any news yet? And when will you change your avatar?
I think you should get your Jackett OR!

'They'll do no good , I say, they'll do no good while Poxey is still there'
Just doing some research.
"For the 1989-90 season, United suffered a humiliating 5-1 away defeat against fierce rivals Manchester City. Following this and an early season run of six defeats and two draws in eight games, a banner declaring "Three years of excuses and it's still crap ... ta-ra Fergie." was displayed at Old Trafford, and many journalists and supporters called for Ferguson to be sacked.[50][51] Ferguson later described December 1989 as "the darkest period [he had] ever suffered in the game", as United ended the decade just outside the relegation zone.
Following a run of seven games without a win, Manchester United were drawn away to Nottingham Forest in the third round of the FA Cup. Forest were performing well that season and were in the process of winning the League Cup for the second season running,[54] and it was expected that United would lose the match and Ferguson would consequently be sacked, but United won the game 1-0 due to a Mark Robins goal and eventually reached the final. This cup win is often cited as the match that saved Ferguson's Old Trafford career. United went on to win the FA Cup, beating Crystal Palace 1-0 in the final replay after a 3-3 draw in the first match, giving Ferguson his first major trophy as Manchester United manager."
Talk about lucky! If only I could get in a time machine...or rewrite History.
And I wonder who those supporters were who had the banner.
So Arsenal won the double.
The only trophies they win these days are in women's football.
Glad to see Mourinho back in the Premier League. Should make things a bit more exciting.
