I'm glad Ukraine won. Croatia got so cocky when we didn't qualify.

Sad to see Portugal and Argentina stepping it up.

Did Argentina qualify? I hope they did, as I'm a big fan of Maradona and Messi.

Not yet but they have it in their own hands. If they beat Uruguay away they qualify and if they draw they still qualify as long as Ecuador don't beat Chile in Chile. However, if Ecuador do win, Argentina will be in a play-off with either Hondurus or Costa Rica.

Wenger has almost got into 2 touchline fights so he isn't whiter than white.

I don't think you're allowed to say that these days.

As for Chelsea, or Sutton Utd or whoever Chappers is supporting this week I don't care enough to respond with an insult.

I've supported Sutton United since 1967. They're on the verge of another FA Cup run again this season.

My feelings for Chelsea are they are my favourite Premiership team but I really hate the money running the game now. As I've said before top football lost its soul once home teams kept all the gate receipts.

The arse really seems to have shot himself in the foot this time.

Wiley proven to be fitter than Rio. That's not hard!

No - this is more fun. It upsets more people.

What's going on with Beckhams beard?

I prefer Grandad btw

You mean Alex who played 41 times for Chelsea last season at central defence, only losing 2 league games in the process while helping Chelsea to have the best defensive record in the country?

And who did this to Liverpool

Kalou - fair point Laughing out loud Although he did score a goal past the famous Man Utd last season...

Well of course. It makes sense.

Just wait til your lot get caught out.

It's interesting to note how this 'football' thread, supposedly set up to discuss the game as a whole, is ninety percent banter between Chelsea and Manu fans, with the odd appearance from a Liverpool supporter. Speaks volumes about the condition of the game.

Question of the day- is the Premiership missing Jose Mouriniho. I think it is. He was one of the most entertaining managers ever to grace the Premiership, so I would love to see him back in it one day (as long as it isn't as Liverpool manager, would find him the ideal replacement for Alex Ferguson). Had some fine moments. Obviously interested in other things though now- http://inter.theoffside.com/files/2009/04/mourinho-stripper-2.jpg

He's a very handsome chap though, isn't he? If I looked like him I'd probably have other 'interests' too. Lots of interests.

makes sense, but if chelsea don't win anything this year, next year theyll be a whole year older :)

Big question: Beckham - beard or not?
