The all-in-one consolidatory football thread Page 39

I did. Although Mark Twain said it first.

It's a misqoute from Hamlet. Polonious: The apparel oft proclaims the man. We get "Neither a borrower nor a lender be" from the same speech. Hamlet - as you probably know is stuffed with familiar lines. The play appears to be in our blood.

I doubt that you said it - unless you have a lisp...

I knew that I would end up posting in the football thread one day. Football is shit by the way everyone.

Yeah? And Shakespeare's full of cliches. :P ;) :D

It's probably for the best, I'd rather take a hit against Wigan and bounce back to make fools of Liverpool next week.

See for me that could have meant Liverpool or Man Utd, so I'm glad Mike T confirmed it

How's your local team doing Mike? And what does the T stand for?

You're only there because of referees. Everyone knows it. Scholes gets to commit 58 fouls before a booking and you get just enough added time to get the goal you need to win a game. I think it's more commonly known as 'Fergie Time'.

To be honest, I'm surprised we lasted that long at the top with all the help you've been getting. Christ, you've even got Alan Wiley onside now, and he was meant to be Chelsea's lucky ref...

we're only there because of referees? If you actually understood the utd city game, you wouldve understood the added time was almost exactly right. you wouldve understood too that even if the wrong amount was added, there would be time for BOTH teams to try and get the win. But city being city, they were playing for a draw.
It should be fun watching an on form Torres against a chelsea defence who couldn't handle the mighty club that is wigan athletic.

oh and before I forget, chelsea barely beat utd with the help of the referee in the community shield. Once again proving what bitter cheating wankers they really are.

Everyone seems to be either Manu or Chelsea. Such diversity amongst you Premier followers. I wonder why this is?

You still refuse to say who your local team is. Oh how you make me laugh.

Am I desperate to beat Liverpool - yes, because there is no greater sight in football than this

[/quote]
A much greater sight would be to see Old Trashford crying into their beer as they tumble out of the Champions League position.

Its man united. sorry that I don't fall in to the sterotypical man utd fan idea.

I like to see Manu doing well in Europe. Any English team.

Afraid not. I love seeing them get beaten anywhere.

But they are representing your country when they play in Europe.

No they're not. They're representing themselves.

Ok, they're representing the English League. We get more teams in Europe and a bigger reputation.
If Fergie wasn't in charge would you support them in Europe?

Old Trashford?

Jesus Christ

I could never bring myself to cheer for Liverpool in Europe.

See! It's the same for all of us really.
