Aston Villa are in talks with Joe Cole (I love transfer deadline day). Here's a great Cole-related link

That is a funny link.
Gerrard is the captain, so has to talk things up, but he chatted so much shit when Hodgson took over, and its embarrassing to look back on.
Gerrard's stock response when a new manager takes over is say how much everybody is smiling in training and at the club.
All players and managers chat generic BS. It genuinly is not worth interviewing players because of this, with the exception of Barton who don't talk generic BS, just Basic BS. Ow and one more exception of John Terry's manning up speech during last years world cup, the one what showed passion and heart, a man who would standup and be counted, a man who put the team and country first, not knowing what cost it would be to himself. Remember it the one before he said "sorry" afterwards. How he never got press abomolition afterwards I will never know.
Wenger for England I say (no, not an arsenal fan) Give him a good team and I believe his style gets the most out of a team. Wow, I can see it now me getting excited about an England Game, do you remember Euro 96 wc98. Not like nowadays another boring qualifier on Friday which means no premierleague. I hate myself for hating England games but they leave me no option. They make me do it. its not my fault...it's not my fault....it's not my fault...I am normal...I am normal.
Trabs, you won't beat robbie keane when signing for Liverpool & Celtic here is his latest quote following his arrival at LA Galaxy.
"Its an honour to put on the LA Glaxy Shirt, a team I supported and dreamed of playing for as a child"
I would like to see Wenger turn things around Arsenal, I really like and respect the guy, and he has given the premier league some truly wonderful football to watch.
If Wenger ever got the England job the press would be on his back from day one wanting him to f**k it up though. They smell blood now, and are really going to go for him.
I don't support England, but if Wenger took over as manager it would certainly make me take more of an interest in them.

It's funny.

Aye, we've moved on to Jenas now. That would give us a heavyweight midfield of Jenas, Ireland, Albrighton and N'Zogbia. I bet Chelsea are shitting themselves.

He's bound to be in for a lot of racial abuse over there. Roberto Carlos is playing out the last portion of his career there, and has had bananas thrown at him on a few occasions, because of his Native Brazilian heritage.
Quote: Tuumble @ August 29 2011, 10:57 AM BSTMind you, I did once hear Wenger described as Professor Yaffle...
Pro. Yaffle is more Sven-Goran Eriksson, surely.

Wow really??
I read about one match where a fan just walked onto the pitch with a pen and asked Roberto Carlos to sign his shirt.
What if another fan walked onto the pitch and attacked him or Eto'o?
On another note, I just found out he want to the same club as Zhirkov. You guys reakon there would be enough good money hungry players to give this russian club a top rate team in 2-3 years?
MY TEAM:
ASTON VILLA: I supported Arsenal until I was 5 (thank God I don't support them now! think how much stick I'd get!) My family on my dad's side support Villa because their ancestors were from near Aston in Birmingham. I see we may be trying to sign Hutton from Liverpool for £4m.
I used to support teams in loads of countries:
CELTIC (Scotland)
VALENCIA (Spain)
BAYERN MUNICH (Germany)
INTER MILAN and JUVENTUS (Italy)
PSV (Holland)
ANDERLECHT (Belgium)
FENERBAHCE (Turkey)
One thing I hate about football supporters is that they always just support the best teams. I live in the Midlands and there are loads of Man United, Chelsea, Liverpool and Man City fans. Loads of people changed to Man City when the billionaire owner joined.
A team in Russia called Ankha Makchkakla has been bought by a multimillionaire and they've got Roberto Carlos and Samuel EtO'o

We used to have another team in Birmingham. I think they used to be called Birmingham City aaahhhh the day's
Why are we so intrigued by today when we can just see a list in the papers tomorrow?

5?
And do you mean support or follow?
I have followed the progress (or otherwise!) of Montrose for over 50 years but I wouldn't say I support them.
