It was a quarter final, not the final. And why can't brothers watch it anyway?

Sorry meant game! just wondered if women watched womens footy, my bloke did and thought it very high standard.
Of course you can join the sisters
A decade ago women's football looked quite comical but now it looks far, far better - the standard has definitely improved. What makes the game particularly enjoyable now is that there seems to be more time and space on the ball which makes chances far more likely.
I always make sure I watch the women's hockey, when the Olympics or Commonwealth Games are on. I got the bug years ago, when they had the brilliant ginger goal-machine Jane Sixsmith playing for them.

Is that before or after she worked for Harringey council?
Not the same one, please keep up.

How many BCG sisters watched??...
Shame the coach had to ask the players THREE times for volunteers to take he penalties
tut tut
cowards!
Like Neville Southgate?
pffffft
lmao
GARETH Southgate volunteered to take a penalty
not his fault he was shit and missed
I've always thought I'd be one of the first volunteers to take a penalty, if I was a professional player. For me the thought of all the glory I'd get for scoring always outweighs the thought of taking the blame for missing. If you scored the winning penalty in a really important game, the footage would be shown again and again for years, and I wouldn't be able to turn down that opportunity.
The coolest penalty of all time has to be Zidane's, in the World Cup Final. When I say cool, I'm talking about the way he was able to take such a huge gamble without letting the pressure of the occasion get to him.

But if you missed it you'd forever look like a c**t!

I've been told many times that I already look like one, so I'd have nothing to lose. Mother can be so cruel when she's sober.
There, there....that's cruel. However,if your avatar is you then it is a rather strangely, deformed keyhole shaped orifice image - so she's right.
Never mind - I bet you'd bury the penalty anyway!

Actually, I used to be a bit of a dead-ball specialist when I used to play, and I used to take the free-kicks for my school. When it came to penalties, I used to favour the John Aldridge method of running up to the ball, then faking hitting it one way, beore hitting it the other way. I also copied the Maradona method of sprinting up to the ball, looking like I'm about to blast it, then slowing down at the last moment before calmly placing it into the corner.
I'm pissed off with . . .
"It's not the money. I want to play Champions League football."
And the band played 'Believe It If You Like.'
