Yeah, but I'd play in Siberia for £225,000 per week.

Well who knows what'll happen when the silly season hits town.

According to talkSPORT Man City have some MEGA targets this summer......

Didn't they have mega targets last summer?

Yep, but they mean MEGA ones: in Xavi's league.

I can't see that one myself.

I don't think he'd leave Barca. Not yet anyway.

No way. Yaya Toure did but he was down the pecking order.

Mancini is also a big fan of Ibrahimovic.

Does anyone remember this funny Bruce Grobbelaar own-goal, from the 1984 Charity Shield match between Everton and Liverpool: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yi_Ukrk7U-U

I didn't get into football until '85, so I missed this when it was on TV, and have actually only seen it once before, on a taped copy that a mate showed me, back in the early '90s. The goal won the match for Everton, 1-0.

Everton actually hold the record for the most consecutive Charity Shield wins, winning it 4 times in a row, between '84 and '87.

Everton have also spent the most years as English Champions, owing to the fact that the war(s) suspended the leagues for several years after they'd won it.

Isn't that when he was taking money to throw games?

Isn't that when he was taking money to throw games?

No, that was when he was genuinely just a bit shit. The supposed bribed games were not until the early 90's.

Should like to see Blackpool stay up. But can't see it.

That would be nice. Then Man U get a points deduction for fielding a weakened team, giving them an unfair advantage, and Man U win nothing.

Yeah, Champions before both World Wars and before the 5-year European ban in the '80s.

Blackpool may do well against United now that they've won the league they have nothing to play for and will probably have one, if not two eyes on the champions league final. Incidentally I have a ticket for the final can't waaaitttt!!!!

That isn't going to happen. Lets face Man U's reserves can beat Blackpool. Plus no-one else has ever been docked points for a weakened team. And the premier league can't have it both ways, they have their 25 players so they can use them.

What happens if teams are level on points and goal difference. Does it go to Goals Scored?

Ferguson is allowed to decide.

He is to the Premiership what Simon Cowell is to the X Factor.
