As a sign of our national disgust at corrupt FIFA's disgusting decision, I suggest the FA wage a silent protest by deliberately trying not to qualify for any future World Cups. As a sign of our passive defiance, why don't we consistently select dodgy managers and incredibly mediocre players and tell them not to bother trying too hard in international matches? FIFA will be so embarrassed when they realise that England - the home of football - can't be bothered with winning the World Cup anymore! It will make the competition meaningless!

It may take 20 or even 30 years of adopting such tactics to make our point, but eventually it'll shame those dodgy FIFA foreigners into admitting they were wrong.

I don't know what you mean.

Maybe we should do what the Yanks do and have our own World cup with the Scots, the Irish and the Welsh.

Couldn't give a monkey's we've lost out: I want England to WIN the World Cup, not host it.

A very interesting read:

The Man Utd game is off tomorrow. Damn shame.

Damn shame as they're playing crap at the moment.

Former sports minister Richard Caborn questioned whether Fifa was fit for purpose, adding: "I think there has got to be more transparency, there has got to be more democratic accountability.

"All that needs to be looked at because it only brings itself into disrepute if it does not do that.

"It is the biggest game in the world, and they have got to say, 'Are we fit for purpose for the 20th century?' I think the answer to that is no."

Oh dear !

Ha ha!

Why did Putin not travel to the final decision ceremony in Switzerland?
Ans - Because they needed his seat for all those rubles.

Why did England want to host it so badly anyway? The only reason I can think of is it's the only climate English players can play quite well in Eh?

On the topic of West Ham v Utd, we put out what can only be described at our 3rd team against their 1st team. And it was snowing.

Could be worse, could only have got 5 points from 15 and could be almost out the title race by Christmas...

The treble awaits! Pleased

What a f**king joke. We'll end up going down again thanks to that fat f**k. Angry

The owner of your club doesn't do you many favours does he?

Your saving grace is that you might get Martin O'Neill?

I'll be stunned if O'Neill goes to Newcastle. Next to no chance imo.

Where will he go then?

Man U, Arsenal, Liverpool, Spurs have no room at the inn.

Man City is the only potential possibility in the near future. But if he has his sights on the United job once AF has gone I think he won't go there.

He needs a job soon - and this is most likely the highest tier he can look at for a while.

A good question Bigfella. I'd still say Liverpool is his most likely destination, with England in play also. In other words, I have no idea :)
