It'd actually be great if by some fluke Japan won it.

You can get 80/1.
Bung your loose change on it, you might get £8000!
Japan have been my second favourite team in every World Cup, since '98. The J-league is great, and the Japanese fans are really loyal, like British fans. I remember going to watch Japan play Brazil in the Umbro Tournament at Goodison Park in '95, and there were loads of Japanese fans there who had travelled halfway across the world, for what was a meaningless little 4-team tournament (the other teams were England and Sweden).

I must say the Japs eye for goal was very impressive.

I saw Sweden vs Brazil in that tournament. Was the first time Juninho played in England.
Here's my team of the tournament so far.
Butt (Germany)
Ponce (Paraguay)
Shittu (Nigeria)
Bong (Cameroon)
Pantsil (Ghana)
Stankovic (Serbia)
Messi (Argentina)
Lee Dong Jin (S Korea)
Kaka (Brazil)
Cisse (France)
Bendtner (Denmark)
(That was hard work!)
As Lee Chapman said to Lesley Ash "It's knockout time now"
Regarding the Defoe goal, anyone else notice he completely 'shinned' it? 'Twas a bit lucky, IMO.
Definitely. And the Goalie might have done better.
But that's a strikers goal.
Lineker didn't score many screamers.
That second Italy goal last night was probably the best goal so far in this tournament.
I dunno, I liked the second Japanese free-kick.

I've only seen the first one and that was quite remarkable.
I think the goalie was a little to blame for that one, but it was good.

*sniggers*
My sister and my mum are taking my nephew to Chester Zoo on Sunday. I told them they'll probably have the place to themselves, due to the England match being on.
