Did anyone hear about the 49-year-old goalie who came on as a sub and played for Dundee last week? Apparently he hadn't played a game for 10 years.

Our goalkeeping coach has played the last three games. Firstly to cover suspension and then to rest the first choice for the play-offs. He is rather on the large side. Made some great stops though.

I actually think both would be a disaster which absolutely fine by me.

Whoever comes in United fans better hope that Fergie is out the door and not any way involved in the running of the club because his shadow is just too great.

We can always hope.

Hull are as good as gone now, with their goal difference. :(

West Ham - yowser, well done.

Don't you support Chelsea, the team who lose a match and then need a new manager. And the team who printed out kits with Robinho on the back before any deal had been done..? ( If you don't support Chelsea, just ignore all of that.)

Besides Moyes would probably want to join Utd and I'd rather have him then Mourinho..

I think Mourinho would be the ideal replacement. But I hope Fergie stays on for a few more years.

You know that no-one will match up to him - except maybe Mourinho.

I think Mourinho would be a good choice for United, with the possible caveat that his sides don't always play the most attractive football, which United have done over most of Ferguson's reign.

Once players like Keane, Butt, Scholes have kicked the opposition off the park.

And Vidic, Evra - not to mention Cantona who kicked people already off the park.

I don't mind that though. The iron fist in the velvet glove and all that. The lack of those kind of players is why Arsenal have frequently flattered to deceive.

Were you at Sutton United today Chappers?

I was. Were you?

So do Wrigleys ...

No. I still play football on Saturdays, so it's not feasible. I generally go 5 or 6 times a year. I'll probably go the play off home leg though. I never have got the hang of glory-hunting. :)

Ha ha. Kingstonian at home. We drew at home and lost away in the league with them. This is the best one to win though.

(I couldn't stand losing to them again.)

I quite agree. When are the games?

Alex Fergusson is a cantankerous old git but boy, what a manager. His record is simply jaw-dropping and he is no doubt a legend. I for one will miss him when he goes because he certainly makes football interesting.

Incidentally I speak as a Liverpool supporter.

What I hope goes when he goes is that frustrating knack United have of scoring injury time goals. In those moments I hate football, truly despise it but I have a grudging admiration too. I'd be very surprised if a United fan left a game early unless they are part of the prawn sandwich brigade.

Semi on Tuesday with the final (fingers crossed) on Saturday - both at home.

Surrey Senior Cup Final on May 4th. (be with you!)

Semi on Tuesday

At your age that's a bonus. :P
