I'd love to be in NY around Christmas time. I'd love to try Christmas in a bunch of places actually. I like the idea of taking another place's traditions for a spin. I really want to try a real pudding, not my aunt's pisspoor example.

You ought to try my mum's Christmas pudding. My God, you could use it to build a through-lounge. 
Why not have Christmas Day in the UK (if anyone's still alive after swine flu)? You can enjoy the English tradition of spending a whole day with the family, sat in front of the Queen's speech and The Great Escape in a seething atmosphere of unspoken loathing and resentment!

That is no different than at my parent's house, except for the big gay brother in law trying to hit on my husband
