I had to Google that to learn the meaning. In general, we don't mix things with our beer. The surge of Mexican immigrants has given us things like beer with tomato juice or lime and salt, but they are not popular outside that particular ethnic group.
A larger top is used to make it less bitter. But I don't drink lager, so it makes no difference to me.
I drink Cider, that has apples in it. And the pear stuff is great too

I can only drink beer or lager with nothing in it. I've come to realize that I'm like that with all beverages, coffee, tea, etc.
