Clowns

Has there ever been a sitcom involving a group of clowns?

I'm sure you'll get a reply about this....

You mean as the lead characters or just any reference to a group of clowns?

Psychoville has Mr. Jelly and Mr. Jolly.

Well I suppose there's psychoville. Problem is clowns aren't funny or even really human.

A circus sitcom is a good idea.

I thought the day to day life of a house occupied by various clowns might be interesting.
I've just discovered the BBC are going to do "Send in the clowns" this year.

I don't like circus/clowns. Too old fashioned and just plain weird or annoying. I hate the use of animals too.

Clowns tigers locked cage.
That show writes it's self.

Thanks;
that must be the real name of the press report I found from last year:http://www.chortle.co.uk/news/2008/12/26/8045/send_in_the_clowns

There was a one-hour TV documentary about clowns/children's entertainers last year that was one of the funniest things I've ever seen.

I think I remember that. It was funny.

My comment wasn't directed at this post. Rather more a general statement on how I feel about clowning. And I wish you best of luck :)

There's all sorts of different clowns, not just circus clowns. For instance, I heard a documentary about a group of traditional South American clowns who are very violent and terrorise/entertain villagers at certain times of the year. Nothing like our clowns.

I think that's the Zapatista rebels. Bit like clowns, except their heavily armed freedom fighters who kill lots of people.

Sounds brilliant. Combining the incisive comedy writing of Danny Peak with the majestic comic acting of Amanda Holden. Just what the world's been waiting for. Unimpressed

Laughing out loud
