Mock The Week - Series 7 Page 5

In regards to fighting- I remember during last year's series we commented that there was an episode where Hugh barely appeared and looked increasingly irritated. The very next week, it was highlighted on camera that he was given many more opportunities to speak. I guess words were had.

I did use to really like Frankie, but he really does overuse material. The last two sets he did for Live at the Apollo were pretty much identical. I guess he's a prime example of how success can kill genuine talent.
He should be put in a blender and shoved up the Queen's fanny!

(Wow, his act is easier than I thought. :P)

Try to pronounce 'million' as 'miywion' and you've got it.

Sorry but annoying or not, Michael McIntyre is hilarious. His hosting of the Comedy Roadshow is brilliant and I would love to see him on Mock The Week again.

As for this week's ep, can Andy Parsons please find another job? He's just... just awful. His routine about the bankers may have been his worst ever. Someone should tell him that a crucial part of comedy is telling jokes... and that jokes typically end in a punchline and then the crowd laughing, not him saying some stupid mundane thing like "and they won't be very good will they, since they've only had half the training" and then standing there with a stupid look on his face waiting for pity laughs. His voice makes me want to tear out my ear drums.

Russell Howard keeps getting better however. "Hi I'm Bear Grylls, and this is my brother, Wolf Stirfry".

Frankie Boyle is a one-trick pony, it is a good trick, but I am tired of it now. Russell Howard is beyond poor. Andy Parsons is average. Hugh Dennis is a funny man - he just is not very good at this sort of things. Dara is also a funny man, but he is phoning it in.

Fail.

Frankie is on good form so far, but he tries so hard making his gags so ridiculous and harsh that you have to laugh, but he will probably re-use those gags loads more times in the future.

Andy Parsons has been the best so far this series. Some of his lines have been great and in my book him and Hugh Dennis are the best on the show, along with Dara who is always on good form. Russell Howard hasn't been great so far, some of his jokes have bombed.

Frankie Boyle is the oasis of comedy, hence the water's poisened.

SMOS.

Why do people dislike Russel Howard so much - I think he's great.

He looks a bit boyish, and perhaps some folk expect their comedians to be a more hard-bitten.

No, just funny.

Timbo, youappear to be a very tough audience:

I bet you didn't even titter when Delboy fell through the bar.

Don't dislike him at all, I think he is good. He just hasn't been very good in the first two MTW S7 episodes.

This.

Except I quite like Russell Howard.

Frankie Boyle is now boringly predictable I find.
