When this was first on I didn't quite get into it. I saw a bit last night with Ricky Grover and found his performance quite engrossing. Only previously used to him doing his Buller character. Nicely restrained. I shall have to watch an entire ep.

He scares me.
Yeah, but it's a good scare though, right?
In this show, yes.
I still love this. Funny doesn't need to have punchlines and real life can be hilarious.
Yes but only your life DD!
Actually I think in the single camera sitcom the punchlines, or cues to 'laughter you can hear', are not so important as they are in the multi camera sitcom.

Don't forget the camerawork; "It's all jumpy, it made me seasick, blah blah it's so bad blah blah"

If you don't laugh, you can only cry.

I don't know, there's always room for staring stoically into the middle distance wearing the faint trace of a grimace.

See this is why you weren't invited to the studio for the recording, David.

Hey, I was talking about a hooker who took exceptional care of her appearance! More like a high class escort than anything. One of those £1000 an hour jobs. What is it with broads not being able to take a compliment these days?
I watched this last night for the first time. I enjoyed it, it had an almost documentary feel to it but was very good and dark.
Nurse Jackie afterwards was worth watching too.

Both great series and it is surprising the high rate of terrible tosh that are set in hospitals.
Casualty must top the bill as one of the worst. Danny Baker on Room 101 here couldn't have put it better:

Great that this is back next week. Tuesday at 10pm on BBC4.
