Super Ellie Fun Time Birthday Thread. Page 7

Etsy is getting very popular over here.

If I can be arsed, I'll post a pic of her first attempt. I was really impressed anyway :D.

I've never made clothes from scratch but I had added stuff to clothes.

I'm addicted to Sublime Stitching kits.

I'm currently doing up my room with all crafty stuff. Hopefully by then I will have got hold of a digital camera and will post the images here.

I'm hoping to post everything I make and do on my site. Give it some good content.

Appy berfday.

My missus has started to learn how to make clothes/accessories with the intention of selling it on there.

If there was a more manly version, I'd be tempted to do it myself.

I am tempted!

Only I have no discernable talent.

You may be able to get away with that. ;)

Just buy a tea cloth and cut it up and call it a scarf.

He's right, in a way!
I'm not so sure you need a particular talent, you just have to be lucky enough to come across a good simple idea.

Similar to writing, in fact?

Or tie a towel round your head and call it a hat.

Everyone can make something. I'm not amazing at craft, I just do it because I like to learn about these things and it's relaxing. It's okay to cheat a little. I don't like people who make very little bit from scratch, it's not a contest. Craft shops are full of basics like wooden boxes, transfers, clips etc...

When I was a student, I was very naughty and would take the odd beer glass home. What I would do is use glass painting pens and make and even trace designs on them and give them as gifts. A lot of craft shops also hold workshops to teach you how to make stuff. I recently attended a sock monkey one. Was really good.

I recently wanked off with a sock monkey. Does that count?

Ha! I have made one for Danny for his birthday (He already knows about it cause he asked for one). But they are fiddlesome.

What I REALLY want to do is to go to one of those places where you paint your own plates and cups. :)
