Yes you should. A recession is actually a very good time to start a small business.

Don't worry Gav, I have it all on DVD. I'll learn her the ways of Planet Express.

Good man.
Nah. I'm no good at the admin stuff and I'd only gain two stone.
But I could always make stuff and sell it on Etsy or Folksy.
My friend makes and sells soap on etsy. They are amaaaaaaaaazing. They look like cakes and donuts and stuff.
Yum. I can't belieeeve they're soap.
I love Etsy and Folksy! I make jewellery and I have been tempted a couple of times to sell my stuff.
Happy birthday Ellie!
What is Etsy?
A site where artists sell their stuff. And clothes they've made, jewellery, anything they've hand made, I think.
It's a craft site where people make stuff and sell it like furniture, clothes, jewellery, etc. Folksy is the UK version.

My missus has started to learn how to make clothes/accessories with the intention of selling it on there.
If there was a more manly version, I'd be tempted to do it myself.
It's meant to promote grassroots creativity and such.
I hadn't heard of Folksy!

Sounds even worse than this site! And this site's bloody awful!

You can sell anything as long as you made it yourself. Not hash cakes though.
Craft is easy. It's finding the one you want to do that the tough one.
