Karl Malden RIP

A good innings from a great character actor. Just watching him now in A Streetcar Named Desire. Superb, though his performance as the priest in On The Waterfront was even better.

Also remember him from re-runs of The Streets Of San Francisco...

Recognisable from one of the most bulbous noses in showbiz.

RIP.

This isn't funny anymore!

It's not going to stop is it?
We will have no celebrities left soon.

To be honest, I had sort-of assumed he'd died years ago.

Feel pretty bad finding out an actor I thought was great, was actually alive until today. :(

Aw, I remember finding out he was still alive a couple of years back and being surprised!

Sad news. Streets of San Francisco was an ace show, one of my favourite ever (and one of a select list of Yank shows I really, really love).

RIP Peach Nose. Still, 97 wasn't a bad innings.

Yes, sad loss and a truly great nose.

They could have the nose stuffed and put in Planet Hollywood? If I remember right Ellie told me his nose was the proposed site for filming the moon landings. Poor Mr Malden. He was great, and in so many ace films.

The mantle of last most famous showbiz nose falls to Ringo. Long may his schnowzer cast a shadow over us all.

Barry Manilow and Barbara Sreisand might have something to say about that, young man. And Jacko's nose is pretty...oh.

Not another person I've never heard of dying. :( When will it end..?

:$ I forgot about them. Wishful thinking, it was.

Tim change your avatar back. The real you is so much better. :)

not forgetting Jamie Farr from MASH

If you could have anybody's nose, whose would you pick?

Of actors whose nose looked like an arse, he was the best. R.I.P.

We just finished our third cycle of 3s in celebrity deaths and enough is enough. I've watched A Streetcar Named Desire twice since hearing of his passing. He was such an amazing actor. I think the most wonderful thing about him is his 70 year marriage. RIP.

His nose was referenced in an episode of The Sopranos, don't you know...?

PAULIE: These flat screens, I tell ya. No glare. High definition. I was watching On the Waterfront down Sears. Karl Malden's nose hairs, they looked like f**kin' BX cable.
