Is Kindle out in Britain yet? That's an ebook gadget, so I've been told.

No.

Cheaper here with a book voucher thrown in.

I wish! The old man has both legs in plaster and will be wheelchair bound for weeks and weeks. It might keep him entertained as I've put together a reading list for him and running out of shelf space.

There's a good book out in a month's time.

They re-releasing the bible?

Yes as a Whole Ebook.

:)

That'll be something nice to steal from hotel rooms.

Yes but I made a pun there, which I never do. :)

The Lord works in mysterious ways. Behind the counter, the guy with the beard? No?

Although I was slagging these off earlier in the thread, I saw one in Waterstone's at the weekend and it didn't look too bad. Still prefer books, mind.

Smiths have just slashed the price. I think I might wait and see what the kindle looks like.

"NOTE - This eReader is NOT compatible with the Apple Mac"

>_<

Bought Mrs Will Cam a Kindle for her birthday a few weeks ago and she loves it. Not my cup of tea as I prefer the feel and smell of book paper. It is easy on the eye though. Couldn't get the Times today so have loaded a 14 day trial of the Kindle version which I will read when I go to bed.

Kindles (et al) are still pure evil.
I did wonder about getting one very briefly (after having hated them since their invention) but then I saw that often books aren't even any cheaper to get on it. I assumed they'd be about 2.99. But they're basically full price!
F**k that.
