Michael Jackson RIP Page 6

The BBC's "World Business Report" 05:30 - 06:00 BST today, wasted their entire programme slot by covering the death of MJ. Not an exchange rate, quarterly figure or share price in sight!

Of course the news of his his death is tragic. Surely the beeb could have displayed the sad news on a banner whilst we investors enjoyed our daily dose of financial market news.

What other scheduled live programmes will morph into a MJ lament/tribute?

Oh and Farah Fawcett's dead as well.

It's all very sad really, having such a pop culture icon pass away. Especially as at his best he really was a great talent.

Nobody should blame themselves for the death of Michael Jackson when we all know it was the boogie.

And General Sir Mike Jackson was on This Week tonight when the story was breaking.

Spooky.

Damn you, Uri Gellar! :S Angry

You think he killed him with mind bullets?

Well, I don't think we should be too sad. He might have only been 50 in human years, but he was probably nearer 150 in Michael Jackson years.

Mind you they say it was an actor playing him at press conferences for a while. So what's peoples preferred conspiracy.

1 He's been dead for years and this was an attempt to get millions from ticketsales.

2 He's hiding out with Elvis and the Big Bopper.

Personally I think he died years ago. Aparently removal men found his mumified corpse at Neverland hidden in a cupboard like a forgotten pair of pants.

Being an adult never really suited Jacko. And the older he got, the weirder and sadder he seemed to become.

Great performer etc and I'm always sad when another human being (great or small) goes.

But let's not forget that if he lived next door to your family and he wasn't famous or rich, the rumours surrounding him were of such a nature that you and the local vigilantes would have hounded him out of the area... or worse. I know the Jacko fans will protest his innocence but them's the facts, you would not have given the guy next door the same leeway or innocent til proven as you did to Jackson. And yes, at least one case went to court and yes he got off. But one of the jury (in an interview) said she believed he did do it but acquitted him because she didn't like the child's mother. Way to go, Justice.

In summary, at best he was a nieve boy-man, at worst a man who should have been jailed but ultimately sorry he's gone.

It was a true shame that his personal life over-shadows a glittering career.

I don't think it will in the long run, he'll just be remembered for both, the music and the controversy.

Plus, he hadn't done anything decent for years. It was very easy for his freak sideshow life to overshadow his paltry achievements in recent years.

My friend had literally just finished a rendition of Billy Jean on his guitar when we heard the news... now that's timing.

To be fair, he hadn't done much of anything for years, good or bad.

Did he play it backwards?
