They're generous, but not that generous. 
I'm borrowing the money to buy a new car. Current auto loan rates are something like 7.3% but their bank will only pay them 3.6% interest, so I told them I'd pay them 4% and we'd both get a good deal.
I only asked for $15,000 but my parents are of the "just in case" mindset.

I heard his dad had him castrated at 10 to keep his voice high and that's why he couldn't have kids properly, never grew up and left his dad out of his will.
